The former One Direction star was found dead on Oct. 16 after reportedly falling from a third-floor balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires.
On Wednesday, news broke that former One Direction member Liam Payne was found dead in Argentina.
According to ABC and The Associated Press, the musician fell from the third floor of a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on Wednesday evening local time. He was 31 years old and leaves a 7-year-old son named Bear, whom he shares with his ex, Cheryl.
This morning, Liam’s family said in a statement that they’re “heartbroken” and will remember him “for his kind, funny and brave soul.”
Liam first auditioned for The X Factor UK in 2008. However, it was his second appearance on the British talent show in 2010 that catapulted him to global fame after Simon Cowell placed him and four other boys in a band.
