How do you solve the Diablo 4 ritual brazier puzzle? You’re casually minding your own business, riding through the mirk and mud of Sanctuary, avoiding monsters as best you can, and there it is, the inviting orange glow of a warm cellar. Inside, nine braziers, and a puzzle so confusing it might make you want to hurl yourself into a crowd of wretches and plague maggots.
You can brute force this Diablo 4 puzzle, but the trouble is it can take a long while, so we’ve got a simple solution for you below. Cellars are a type of Diablo 4 dungeon perfect for solo D4 players – a mini-dungeon, if you will – and can host puzzles or combat scenarios. Either way, completing one rewards you with some decent loot, especially good for kick-starting your gear haul with a new seasonal character, so let’s get you that loot from the D4 brazier cellar puzzle.
It’s fairly simple to get it so that the center brazier is the only one on with a bit of messing about. At this point, interact with the bottom left, top right, top left, bottom right, then left, right, top, bottom braziers in that order, and the puzzle should be complete.
The image above shows you which order to interact with the braziers after the central fire is the only one lit. If you’re having trouble getting it so that only the central fire is lit, take it slow, and remember the effects of the brazier interactions are as follows:
Corner brazier: affects itself and the two closest
Edge brazier: affects itself, the corner braziers either side, and the central brazier
Central brazier: affects itself and the four edge braziers.
If a fire is lit, it will unlight, and vice versa.
Also, if you decide you want a break from the puzzle, remember that cellars reset once you leave the game, and it might be a while before you can find this particular puzzle again since cellar contents are random.

The brazier puzzle can appear in any standard cellar at any time since cellar contents are random, that also means we can’t make it easy for you to find this puzzle – sorry.
The same cellar interior can appear for you more than once though, so once you’ve completed or reset this puzzle, there is a chance you may see it again.
