What is the Diablo 4 Kurast Undercity?
Kurast Undercity is a time-attack, multi-stage dungeon that has been built for players to test their mettle and also earn plenty of experience and loot. The rewards you get from taking on this challenge can be customized and enhanced the deeper you go, and there is – as there usually is – a Diablo 4 boss waiting for you at the end.
To access the Kurast Undercity, you must have first completed the quest ‘The Specter of Travincal’ which will unlock the Spirit Braziers you may have seen already on your travels. Interact with one of the Spirit Braziers dotted around the world map to open a portal to the dungeon. Once in there, you must fight your way through the Kurast Undercity and defeat the boss before the time runs out.
When inside the Kurast Undercity, you can defeat various Afflicted Monsters and destroy Afflicted Structures to extend your time. You can also enhance your rewards by earning Attunement.
To leave the Kurast Undercity once you’re victorious, you can open up the world map and fast-travel to a destination of your choosing. Just don’t forget to vacuum up all the precious loot you found along the way.
At the end of your travels in the Kurast Undercity, you’ll be presented with a boss. This boss can and will change on occasion, so you’ll have to be prepared for a wide variety of scenarios. As you get to a certain point of the dungeon, you’ll find yourself in a specific district of the Kurast Undercity – this will determine which boss you face at the end.

Diablo 4 Kurast Undercity rewards
As you battle your way through the dangerous spaces of the Undercity, you’ll earn Attunement. Attunement is granted by killing monster packs and igniting beacons and grand beacons, and with enough Attunement you’ll be granted Attunement Rank I, which upgrades your rewards. There are several Attunement ranks to be earned, depending on how deep you want to go, and how many enemies you want to slay.
