CMO Survey Reveals Generative AI Boosts Marketing Sales and Customer Satisfaction

According to the CMO survey, the impact of generative AI in marketing has increased the sales productivity by 5% and customer satisfaction by more than 6%. This survey was done after recording responses from 292 marketing leaders and all of them shared their thoughts about AI and how it is impacting the marketing industry. Ever since the marketing sector started using generative AI, it has impacted the overall growth of this sector. But not many companies are trying to use AI and we have a long way to go to see how AI can take over marketing completely. This survey was done after collaborating with Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, Deloitte, and the American Marketing Association.

The survey also found out that use of generative AI in the marketing sector has also reduced the marketing overhead cost by 7%. Even though generative AI tools have just started being used in 7% of all marketing sectors, many great effects of it can be seen. As deployment of genAI is being applauded in the marketing sector, this survey indicates that many more marketing companies are going to deploy AI in the upcoming months.

Only 10% of the marketing companies are using large language models while 39% have not used any type of AI tools. The rest of the marketing companies are slowly trying to know and understand AI to start using it soon.
