CardPointers helps you maximize your credit card rewards, now available via CarPlay [Save 50%] – 9to5Mac

As someone who loves playing the “credit card points game,” CardPointers is one of my all-time favorite iPhone and iPad apps. CardPointers makes it incredibly easy to know which card to use to maximize your rewards on each purchase.

But here’s a quick PSA: CardPointers is set to get more expensive next week. 9to5Mac readers can get ahead of that price increase and save 50% on a CardPointers subscription today.

CardPointers 6.0 now available

I’ve written about CardPointers in the past, but here’s a quick summary of what the app can do. CardPointers works by telling you which credit card to use for different categories of spending. It also helps you keep track of things like offers and promotions, annual fee reminders, and more. One of my favorite parts of CardPointers is the Safari extension, which will tell you the best credit card to use on a particular website to maximize the cash back or points you’ll receive for a purchase.

Once you’ve added your existing cards to CardPointers, you can tap on the “Pointers” tab to see a breakdown of the best cards to use for different categories of spending. These suggestions are based purely on the cards you already have. For instance, if you have the Amex Gold Card, you’ll likely see that it’s the best option for most restaurant and grocery store purchases.

CardPointers 6.0 is the latest version of the app, updated this month for iOS 18.

  • Controls for Control Center and your Lock Screen to toggle AutoPilot, open or show the best card to use for any purchase.
  • Tinted icons and widgets for your Home Screen.
  • AutoPilot Live Activity is now available on Apple Watch.
  • Support for multiple user profiles.

But one of the new features I’m most excited about in CardPointers 6.0 is the CarPlay app. Right on the map in the CarPlay app, you can see which card you should use to make a purchase and get directions to that place in a single tap.

9to5Mac readers can sign up for CardPointers for $30 per year (a 50% discount). There’s also a lifetime option for 9to5Mac readers at $100 (a 50% discount). Plus, you can unlock a $100 Savings Card as a sign up bonus with the Lifetime plan – effectively making the CardPointers+ upgrade free. That savings card can be used towards hotels and vacation activities and doesn’t expire. Learn more here.

CardPointers pricing will increase to $72 per year or $240 for lifetime purchases next week. Don’t miss out on this last-minute discount. CardPointers has a spot on my Home Screen and Control Center!
