Best early deals from Amazon’s Big Spring Sale

Amazon announced Thursday that it will host a new “Big Spring Sale” later this month — and, in a deviation from the retailer’s flagship Prime Day sales, the deals won’t be entirely exclusive to members of its paid Prime subscription service.

Here’s a rundown of everything we know about the Big Spring Sale so far.

When is Amazon’s Big Spring Sale?

The Big Spring Sale will officially run from Wednesday, March 20 at midnight PST through Monday, March 25, with new doorbusters dropping every day throughout the event, though dozens of early deals were already live at the time of writing. Head over to amazon.com/bigspringsale to peruse the following offers, or check out our highlights below.

If you have a tough time focusing, frequently take flights, or just get annoyed very easily, a good pair of noise-canceling headphones can change your life. Bose’ QuietComfort line of headphones are some of the best on the market, and the Ultra model is on sale for $50 off during Amazon’s Big Spring Sale. They come with three different noise-cancellation modes, spatial audio support, a comfortable design that you can wear all day, and an 18- to 24-hour battery life depending on which sound profile you use.

What’s better than a robot vacuum? Well, how about one that empties itself and also doubles as a mop? That’s what you’ll be getting in the iRobot Roomba Combo i5+, and it’s $200.99 off during the Big Spring Sale. The Roomba Combo i5+ plus can handle all your home’s surface, from hardwood floors that could use a little extra shine, to carpets that are covered in pet hair. Once it finishes the job from memory thanks to iRobot’s Smart Mapping feature, the device will return to its home base to empty out any dirt that it accumulated during cleaning (and it’ll keep doing that for up to 60 days).

If you’re looking for a kitchen appliance that can do pretty much anything, the 13-in-1 Instant Pot Duo Crisp may be the call. The 6.5-quart device can function as a pressure cooker, air fryer, slow cooker, steamer, sauté pan, food warmer, roaster, mini oven, broiler, dehydrator, yogurt maker, sous vide, and can even be used for proving bread. What more could you need? Plus, it’s $30 off during the Amazon Big Spring Sale.

Having a great monitor to pair with your PC gaming setup can make all the difference. This 27-inch gaming monitor from Samsung is an affordable (especially at $300 off) and high-quality option, and features a curved design that enhances the overall immersion of your gaming experience. You’ll also get a solid refresh rate of 240Hz, DisplayHDR 600 support, QHD resolution, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to help prevent screen tearing.

The weather is finally starting to warm up again, and you know what that means: Outdoor hangs are so back, baby. And if you’re going to throw a BBQ or pool party for your pals, you’re going to need an outdoor speaker that can play your favorite tunes, and play them well. The Sonos Move 2 is a durable and high-quality speaker that’s sure to be the star of the show at your next get-together, featuring high-fidelity audio, automatic Trueplay tuning that constantly adapts to the speaker’s surroundings, and a 24-hour battery life. The Move 2 is built to withstand accidental drops, too, and is resistant to water, dirt, and dust, so you won’t have to worry about it breaking mid-hangout.

What is Amazon’s Big Spring Sale?

The Big Spring Sale is an all-new savings event featuring deals that revolve around “seasonally relevant items,” according to a post on Amazon’s blog. That includes select sports and outdoor equipment, home products, and certain electronics. (Amazon devices like Kindles and Echo smart speakers will likely receive some of the biggest discounts.)

The Big Spring Sale isn’t just another iteration of Prime Day, Amazon’s biggest shopping event of the year, which gatekeeps its deals to Prime subscribers. But Amazon’s announcement notes that members “will receive access to exciting, exclusive deals” as part of the sale.

How to sign up for Amazon Prime

If you haven’t subscribed to Prime within the past 12 months, you can sign up for a free 14-day trial at amazon.com/prime. After that trial ends, you’ll be bumped to a paid membership plan for $14.99 per month or $139 per year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Actually yes, you can. While the sale isn’t exclusive to Amazon Prime members, those who are subscribed to the service can still take advantage of the usual Prime perks, like free shipping, which should save you a few extra dollars on those deals. Members will also have access to select exclusive deals once the event officially kicks off, but we aren’t sure what those will be quite yet. If you’re not already signed up and you want to before the sale begins, you can sign up for a free 14-day trial at amazon.com/prime. (Just be aware that after your free trial ends, you’ll be converted to a paid membership plan for $14.99 per month or $139 per year.)

Luckily, no you don’t. The Amazon Big Spring Sale is open to Prime and non-Prime members alike, although subscribers will have access to that great free shipping benefit and select exclusive deals during the official event period.

According to a post on Amazon’s blog, the Big Spring sale will feature “seasonally relevant” deals like outdoor equipment, sports-related items, home appliances, and select electronics. We also expect Amazon devices like Kindles and Echo smart speakers to be discounted during the event, as they usually are whenever Amazon has a big sale.
