Actor Stephen Fry Labels Mark Zuckerberg And Elon Musk As ‘Worst Polluters In Human History’

Actor Stephen Fry is causing a commotion online after labeling Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg as the biggest polluters in human history.

Speaking during a recently held lecture at Kings College in London, he mentioned how children are forced to breathe and live in a very toxic environment thanks to the two of them. He accused both tech giant leaders of not putting a check on what their organizations were up to today and that was a serious issue.

Stephen Fry does hold quite a bit of knowledge when it comes down to the world of tech. Moreover, he was also a usual poster on the X app so then what happened, all of a sudden?

Clearly, he was not too happy with the way things were going about on the new X app and much rather preferred to discuss matters on the old Twitter. Nevertheless, his account is still there but you won’t be seeing him acting on any leading social network.

He spoke about being a chump on social media who could alter the world. But despite being a very enthusiastic individual, he has lost that power of bringing positivity and charm in today’s toxic world.

He spoke about how he deemed it to be a significant flaw in terms of the attempts carried out by algorithms on the app to better engagement. Nobody predicted engagement would become better with dangerous passions but here we are, he explained.

Fry says that most of us users are clueless about what the future holds or where the world of technology will take us. We also don’t know what it can do for us.

He further returned to the theme in several instances in that speech where the future of AI was also touched upon. As per the actor, AI was introduced to disrupt the world at every chance that it could get.

He hoped the greed that came with the corporate world would not impact AI development at the expense of others’ safety. But again, nothing can be said after seeing the ways things are unfolding today.

It was not just these two tech billionaires who seemed to be the center of his discussion but also Meta’s top executive Sir Nick Clegg. The latter was quoted as he shared similar views about Musk and his leading X app.

Meta considers X as a small-scale elite app that was obsessed with the world of politics and nothing more. Clegg also felt it was similar to a show run by a single person and that was sad. The news comes after X boasted that the platform was doing great and that having 550M visitors every month was proof of its mighty impact on the world. Meanwhile, Facebook has more than 3 billion and therefore can never be underestimated.
