Apple Simplifies Email Management with New Primary Email Option in iOS 18.1

In the iOS 18.1 version, there is a new feature to set up a primary email which means users will be able to easily change their email addresses that are connected to their Apple accounts. The primary email address is the one which is shown to other people when users share documents or other invitations to other users.

Before this feature, it wasn’t easy for users to change their email addresses on their Apple account. To change their accounts, they had to remove the email they were using from their Apple account and add another email. To add another email, a whole verification process was also required.

Now if users do not want their email address to be visible to other people, they can change it to primary email and use their prior email for login purposes too. Users will also be able to change their address to me.com or iCloud.com according to their preference. It is a great feature for users who have an email address they aren’t proud of #or an email they don’t want other people to find out.
