What Are You Playing This Weekend? – Issue 549

Chock-tober

We’ve made it to October, everyone, and the release schedule is looking packed. The likes of Silent Hill 2, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and Sonic X Shadow Generations are just a few of the biggest games heading our way in the next few weeks. Potentially a lot to be getting on with, then — probably a good time right now to clear those backlogs a bit.

I’m off on a wee trip this weekend so I’ll be testing out how reliable the PS Portal is. Hopefully I squeeze in a few races on The Crew Motorfest.

I’m completely addicted to playing No Man’s Sky on PSVR2, it’s definitely my most played VR game. I still need to finish the new fishing expedition so I’ll be trying to complete that this weekend. There’s something very relaxing about sitting by the water and watching weird alien creatures fly overhead.

Liam Croft

I have a few bits to clean up in Silent Hill 2, but I’m also diving into Black Myth: Wukong after buying it a few days ago.

Robert Ramsey

It’s just reviews, reviews, reviews, and more reviews for me recently. I’m still sworn to secrecy on most of them, but I’d love to dive back into Astro Bot at some point this weekend!

Scott McRae

I’ve finished off Echoes of Wisdom, so I plan to spend this weekend playing [REDACTED], Street Fighter 6, and Silent Hill 2 when it releases on Sunday.

Stephen Tailby

I’ll be checking out Kill Knight, a super intense twin-stick action game that recently released on PS5 and PS4. It’s either very hard or I’m very bad at it — probably some combo of both — but I’m liking it so far.

That’s it from us, so now it’s over to you. As always, please tell us what games you’re playing this weekend in the comments section below.

Stephen has been part of the Push Square team for over six years, bringing boundless enthusiasm and a deep knowledge of video games to his role as Assistant Editor. Having grown up playing every PlayStation console to date, he’s developed an eclectic taste, with particular passion for indie games, arcade racers, and puzzlers. He’s also our go-to guy for Sonic-related matters, much to his delight/chagrin.
