“Big Bang Theory” Star Kate Micucci Said She's Cancer-Free Weeks After Revealing Diagnosis

The Big Bang Theory star’s health update comes after she shared in a Dec. 8 TikTok video that she’d undergone surgery for lung cancer.

“It’s pretty weird because I’ve never smoked a cigarette in my life so, you know, it was a surprise, but also, I guess it happens,” she said at the time, noting her doctors caught the cancer early.
Now, in a new video last week, Kate has said that she’s cancer-free and thanked her followers for “the good wishes and all the love” she’s received after announcing her diagnosis and surgery.

“It meant so much to me and really came at the time that I really needed it, so thank you,” she said. “I have great news, which is that I am cancer-free.”
Noting her surgery “went great” and that she’s not in need of further treatment, Kate continued her video by thanking the medical professionals who treated her.
“Thanks to figuring it out early because I am very, very lucky, and I know that,” she said. “I’m just really grateful that things worked out as they did, and I’m feeling really good today.”
Kate ended her video by noting she’s looking forward to spending Christmas with her son. Happy holidays and congratulations to Kate and her family!
