Final Fantasy 16

Following on from the game’s recent PC release, Square Enix has unleashed the Final Fantasy 16 soundtrack on music streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. The score’s arrival has been a long time coming, with the action RPG having first launched for PS5 in June of last year.

In our Final Fantasy 16 PS5 review, we heaped praise on the largely orchestral soundtrack, which was composed by the outrageously talented Masayoshi Soken — who’s best known for his work on Final Fantasy 14. 16’s score is absolutely stuffed with memorable tunes, from emotionally-charged character themes to rousing battle and boss tracks. Outstanding stuff from top to bottom.

Robert (or Rob if you’re lazy) is an assistant editor of Push Square, and has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he’s played ’em all. A little too much, some might say.
