Verdict
Swiss Army Knife is a neat little application that brings a range of useful tools together under one roof. It includes a light that makes use of your camera’s flash, a bubble level that harnesses its accelerometer and a compass that uses your phone’s, eh, digital compass. There’s also a stop watch and timer as well as a handy on-screen ruler.
However, with the latter we found we had to calibrate it first using a normal ruler, otherwise the measurements would have been way out. Swiss Army Knife isn’t particularly flashy – all the functions look pretty workman-like, but they get the job done and that’s what counts. Naturally you can download individual apps that perform all of these functions, but the benefit of Swiss Army Knife is that they’re all gathered together in a single app.
Verdict
It’s not flashy, but Swiss Army Knife offers a load of useful and easy to use tools from within a single app.
