1. I’ve been watching the Olympics all week, and one sport has truly left me gobsmacked.
2. I’m talking about artistic swimming.
4. It’s part swimming, part gymnastics, part endurance.

5. There really is nothing like it.
6. There are optical illusions.
7. There’s artistry.
8. There’s acrobatics.
9. I’d also be remiss not to mention that the costumes are also sickening.

12. Then we have to talk about what goes on underwater.
13. It’s a whole other world.
14. Sometimes it’s organized chaos.
15. Sometimes they’re upside-down in complete unison.
16. I fully don’t understand how they can maintain these positions.
17. Then there are the wild feats of strength.
18. They’re tossing people around like it’s nothing!
19. We’re talking human torpedoes.
20. They’ve got each other by the foot.
21. They’ve got each other by the hand.
22. How is this even possible?
23. Like, I fully don’t understand how they can get that much height.
24. And in this picture, I’m pretty sure she’s hanging onto someone’s FOOT?!
25. Like, what is even going on here?!
26. HUH?
27. It’s straight up metal.
28. So, next time you want to watch something with mind-boggling amounts of athleticism, I highly recommend artistic swimming.
29. It is, full stop, the most underrated sport of the Olympic Games.
